There’s a rumor going around that Burger King is beginning the testing phase of a bacon-flavored sundae:
I’m not sure what to think about this. On the one hand, I think our society is probably big enough, and we don’t need bacon and ice cream together.
However…
I have long held the hypothesis that bacon is one of those foods that, when added to anything, makes that thing better.
What can I say? I’m torn.
So on the subject of bacon, here’s today’s question:
“What’s the greatest dish you’ve ever had that involved bacon?”

Bacon is like the old adage….”spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.” Take an ordinary salad. Yuck. Add a tiny bit of bacon? Yum. Same w/grilled chicken sandwiches which are the few sandwiches on fast food menus that are relatively healthy. Grilled chicken sandwich? Blah. But add bacon and call it “Grilled Chicken CLUB?” Wha-la! (Hardee’s has the best.)
Ice Cream with anything makes that thing better. Bacon…it’s just whatever.
Bacon chocolate chip cookies (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/maple-bacon-chocolate-chip-cookies/). An old roommate of mine would hold an annual bacon party (everything must have bacon in it). The most disgusting: bacon flavored soda.
It is hard to improve on the time tested BLT sandwich. The French may adore their duck fat but as for me and my house, bacon goes w/ everything.
