Praying for our daily bread moves us to humility, magnifies our Provider, and refocuses us on Christ.

The shield of faith in action is fending off the accusatory darts of the evil one, not by disagreeing with him, but by remembering who Jesus is and what He has done on our behalf. 

Let us not treat our hearts casually because everything else flows from them.

God does not want His children to live in perpetual angst about the future. So examine yourself. Find the faith there, or if there is none, then believe on Him today.
