It’s only through the gospel that that the presence of God ceases to be terrifying and begins to be comforting.

Disappointment is an opportunity to remember something about God, and something about ourselves.

Just as He is the light of the world, so also may our light shine out in the increasingly darkened world of our day.

“Woe is me for I am ruined because I am a man of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Armies.”

Our goal is to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” just as the man did in Jesus’ story (Matt. 25:23).
