Wednesday Links

Here are a few links to some things you might have missed, or at least ones that caught my attention this past week:

1. Wanted: Christians Who Defy Categories

There is a great need in the church today to be defined by something more than our political parties. We must rise above them and defy categories.

2. Spare the Rod, Spoil the Parent

When we fail to discipline our kids, we set them up to not respect their Lord. But another consequence of failure to discipline is the ruining of any future relationship with them.

3. The Local Church is More Awkward Than Your Facebook Wall

Though it might be more comfortable to engage online, the primary community God calls us to invest in is the local church. Even when it’s awkward.

4. Wise Technological Parenting

I’m always up for articles like this which give talking points for parents concerned with their kids’ engagement with technology.

5. The Lottery Ruined My Life

Very sad. Very true.
