Wednesday Links

Here are a few links to some things you might have missed, or at least ones that caught my attention this past week:

1. Jesus and the Victim Card

All of us have enough life experiences that allow us to play the victim card. But bearing the burdens of others is not the same thing as enabling them to stay as they are.

2. The Jesus Storybook Bible Turns 10

This book has been profoundly influential not only in my children’s lives, but in mine as well. Here’s the story behind it.

3. Mom / Dad I’m Not Sure I Want to Be a Christian Any More

This is a difficult subject, but the article here is one I’m saving just in case I have to have it because it’s so very practical.

4. The Dark Side of Small Group

Written in the style of The Screwtape Letters, this article finds one demon counseling another to make sure that those in the small group keep all their statements in generalities.

5. The Faith of George Washington

This is a fascinating article of the apparently very private faith of the first president.
