Wednesday Links

Here are a few links to some things you might have missed, or at least ones that caught my attention this past week:

1. Was Any Biblical Writer Aware He Was Inspired?

I have often wondered about this. John Piper gives a thorough answer.

2. Christian Life Beyond the Quiet Time

This is a helpful post on the nature of the spiritual disciplines, lest we slip firmly into legalism, or the other way toward complete apathy.

3. Leading Your Family in God’s Two Gardens

This post was intended for pastors, but I think the application goes beyond that. The home is the primary garden in which our kids will learn of the gospel. The church is God’s other garden for them.

4. The Danger of Christian Sluggishness

If we truly believe that the Bible is the Word of God, then one of the most practical ways we show it is the discipline of attentive and active listening.

5. The Dramatic Ad that Introduced the Remote Control

They don’t make em like this any more.
