Fridays Are For One Question

This week has been one of reflection around our house, mainly because of the anniversary of Joshua’s leukemia diagnosis. And we have noticed how much all of us have changed over the last year, both inside and out. That’s what today’s question is about, though it might be tough to answer:

What is one way you are different now than you were one year ago?

Through some hard circumstances, I believe I am more trusting than I was last year. Although the trust I have in God is much different than the trust I have in people, I’ve seen there is a similar undercurrent. My self-sufficiency was challenged on both fronts.

Thanks for sharing, Dominick. Funny how circumstances like that have such an effect.

  • Becky Dietz says:

    I’m overcoming fear.

  • Jana says:

    I’m not pregnant!

  • MK says:

    Yes!!!!! I mean, No!!!!!

I’m actually getting paid to write…after 10 years in audit and corporate finance, I’ve put my CPA hat to the side and have started to pursue a career in writing. In addition to consistently writing in my blog, I have been hired to write resumes and website content. I’m looking to grow this into something more…maybe a full fledged career planning career. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next year…

  • I, too have been having a week of reflection. We were moving into our house in Nolensville this time last year. I was begging God for another baby girl. He blessed me with two boys instead. He continues to tell me to quit trying to plan everything and just be. It’s been one crazy year.

I’m a father twice over. And I’m a solo pastor instead of an associate.
