Want a Free Copy of Holy Vocabulary?

Here’s the thing: I believe we are living in a time when there is no line between content and marketing. In fact, the only real way to effectively market any more is through the distribution of content. So part of my effort at getting some good exposure for my new Bible study Holy Vocabulary: Rescuing the Language of Faith is giving several copies of it away.

If you are interested in getting a free copy, here’s what I would ask of you. Just leave a comment on this post and I’ll get in touch with you (you’ll have to leave your email address when you leave the comment; it won’t be public though.) By asking for a free copy (for however many I can get to give out), you will be making the following pledge:

1. That you have a blog, and that you will review the study honestly on that blog.

2. That you will post some stuff you find important or memorable on facebook / twitter as you read.

3. That if you do think it’s helpful, that you’ll give away the copy I sent to you to someone who you think would enjoy it.

That’s pretty much it.

So how about it? Would you help me spread the word? And if you know anyone who might want to also help, point them to this post, too.

(You can click here to preorder the study if you don’t have a blog or you are feeling generous. Never too early to think about Christmas!)

I’ll rip you to shre…..I mean. I’d be happy to review your study on my blog. 😉

    Seriously, though. I will.

  • Jack Hager says:

Always looking for good stuff to read/share. Commit to your request.

  • Jeremy says:

I’d love to have a copy to review.
I have several book reviews on my site already and wouldn’t hesitate to post thoughts about your study.

I had a blog, but it was a little short lived. I’ve thought about blogging again, yet haven’t found enough reason.
It seems like so much is getting wrapped up in Facebook and Twitter these days. Yet another area I’m refusing to follow the rest of society. Haha, my wife and I don’t even have cell phones.

I think #3 is GREAT. I hope everyone enjoys it!
This is a good idea Michael, and a good way to spread the word. I’m guessing #2 would get people interested in it more than anything.

  • Megs says:

    Would love to.

Thank you guys, along with the Facebook folks, for agreeing to do this. I’ll be in touch soon with the details.
