Finally. It’s here, and I could not be more excited. Much to my wife’s chagrin, it’s football season again. College, professional, high school – whatever. It’s going to be on, starting this week. Jana is thankful when looking at my fall schedule that I’m gone at least a weekend a month so that she can watch “Bring It On” or whatever. As for me, here are some important dates to have on your calendar:
Thursday, August 28 – The NCAA season opens. Not much to watch here, but I will be anyway.
Saturday, August 30 – The season begins in earnest with the first ESPN Gameday. A couple of games of note – Appalacian State vs. LSU. Can the underdog do it again? Then the headliner – Alabama vs. Clemson. Oooohhhhh……
Monday, September 1 – I feel obligated to list Tennessee’s first game here. Frankly, I couldn’t care alot less about the big orange. Sue me.
Thursday, September 4 – NFL Season opener. Redskins vs. Giants.
Sunday, September 7 – First NFL Sunday of the season. Jets vs. Dolphins. Favre vs. Pennington.
I. CAN’T. WAIT.
